Welcome

I’m a mechanical engineer who has been applying my interests in technology, design, and controls to roles in different industries over the past ten years. I’ve gained a deep understanding of lighting technologies from multiple roles and personal projects, and I’ve combined hands-on fabrication experience with detailed technical design work in many highly interesting areas, including robotics, architectural and theatrical lighting, and carpentry.

My role as an Application Engineer with Xico Lighting has greatly enhanced my design and fabrication knowledge, as well as my understanding of controls integration and photometric and optical testing. This enhanced my previous work at Silent G Productions, where my experience and expertise was applied to theatrical lighting systems, programming, set building, and troubleshooting. Both roles have given me a taste of the endless applications for creative technology and engineering, and I’ve been thrilled to have so many opportunities to learn and grow in this field.

 

Although much of my work has been in the lighting industry, I’m constantly seeking new technologies to learn about and new problems to solve. I’m extremely interested in opportunities that combine mechanical and electrical engineering, and that treat every day like something new.

Outside of engineering, I also have some distinct passions, particularly associated with outdoor recreation and photography. I love finding ways to combine these with my engineering skill set, which can lead to unique projects with creative solutions. As you continue through this website, you’ll see this through many different applications, like my leadership role in designing and building the base structure for the Northeastern University Outing Club’s new lodge facility or the design role I held in my Capstone Project team aiming to develop a transportable bridge for disaster situations.
